Terms of Service

Welcome to Meraki. Meraki is an AI-powered companion app, owned and developed by Random AI Labs LLP, 1st Floor, 1B-102 or 1B, Parinee Crescenzo, G Block, BKC, Bandra Kurla Complex, Bandra East, Mumbai, Maharashtra (“RAIL”, "Meraki," "we," "us"), for personal growth and mental wellness. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Meraki mobile app, web app, and related services (together, the "Service") owned, developed, and operated by RAIL.

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Meraki. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or legal guardian is aware of and has consented to your use of the Service. We do not knowingly permit anyone under 13 to create an account.

2. What Meraki Is

Meraki is an AI-powered companion app for reflection, journaling, mood tracking, and emotional support conversations, delivered through a chat interface ("Seri") and related features (journaling, mood check-ins, gamified progress through the Meraki currency and chakra levels).

Meraki is a wellness companion, not a healthcare provider. See Section 6 — please read it. It matters more than the rest of this document.

3. Your Account

  • You're responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.
  • You must provide accurate information during sign-up and onboarding.
  • You must notify us promptly if you become aware of any unauthorized use of your account.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms (see Section 9).

4. Subscriptions & Billing

  • Meraki may offer free and paid ("premium") tiers. Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or yearly and payment is handled directly by Google Play or the Apple App Store, our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number.
  • Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before renewal. You can cancel anytime from account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • Prices may change with notice posted in the app or sent to your registered email before the change takes effect for existing subscribers.
  • Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable, including for partial billing periods or unused features.
  • Features currently offered free during a beta period may become paid features in the future, with reasonable notice.

5. Meraki Currency & Gamification

The app awards "Meraki" points and chakra-level progress as an engagement mechanic tied to your activity in the app.

  • Meraki currency has no monetary value, cannot be purchased, sold, exchanged, transferred to another user, or redeemed for cash.
  • Your balance and level are tracked for your account only and are forfeited if your account is closed or terminated.
  • We may adjust, reset, or discontinue the currency system, chakra levels, or associated rewards at any time.

6. Not Medical Advice — Please Read This Carefully

Meraki is not a licensed therapist, counselor, physician, or emergency service, and nothing in the app constitutes medical, psychiatric, or clinical advice. Seri is an AI system responding based on patterns in conversation — it does not diagnose conditions, prescribe treatment, or replace professional mental health care.

  • If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, having thoughts of self-harm or suicide, or are in any kind of danger, do not rely on the app — contact your local emergency number immediately (in India: 112; elsewhere, your local equivalent, e.g. 911 in the US, 999 in the UK), or a crisis line (in India: KIRAN, 1800-599-0019, a free 24/7 government mental health helpline; or the Vandrevala Foundation helpline, 1860-2662-345).
  • Meraki does not monitor your account in real time for emergencies, and does not contact emergency services or anyone else on your behalf under any circumstances. Reaching out to a trusted person, or to emergency services, is always your action to take, or something people around you need to do.
  • If you have a diagnosed mental health condition or are undergoing active medical or psychiatric treatment, Meraki is not a substitute for that care, and you should continue following the guidance of your treating professional.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose, or to harass, threaten, or endanger yourself or others beyond seeking support.
  • Attempt to access another user's account or data, reverse-engineer the app, or interfere with the Service's normal operation.
  • Use the Service to generate or share content that is illegal, or that exploits or endangers minors.
  • Misrepresent your identity or age.

We may suspend or terminate access for violations of this section.

8. Your Content

You retain ownership of the messages, journal entries, and other content you submit ("Your Content"). By using the Service, you grant Meraki a limited license to store, process, and use Your Content solely to operate, maintain, and improve the Service (including processing by the AI providers described in our Privacy Policy). We do not sell Your Content. See our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle and protect your data.

9. Termination

  • You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from account settings. Deleting your account removes your profile, journal entries, and conversation history, except where we're required to retain billing records for legal or accounting purposes.
  • We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, misuse the Service, or if required by law.

10. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT AI RESPONSES WILL BE ACCURATE OR SUITABLE FOR YOUR SITUATION.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MERAKI AND ITS OPERATOR SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR ₹1,000 IF YOU HAVEN'T PAID US ANYTHING.

11. Indemnification

You unconditionally agree to indemnify and hold harmless RAIL, its shareholders, directors, employees and representatives from claims, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of this service or any violation of these Terms or misuse of the Service.

12. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, Mumbai Suburban, Maharashtra, India.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as Meraki evolves. We'll update the effective date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app or by email before they take effect. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

14. General

  • Severability: if any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remain in effect.
  • Entire agreement: these Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Trust & Safety Guidelines, are the entire agreement between you and Random AI Labs LLP, 1st Floor, 1B-102 or 1B, Parinee Crescenzo, G Block, BKC, Bandra Kurla Complex, Bandra East, Mumbai, Maharashtra regarding the Service.
  • Assignment: we may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets; you may not assign your rights under these Terms without our consent.
